RFA, Growth Energy file suit against California's low-carbon rule

The Renewable Fuels Association and Growth Energy filed a lawsuit in federal court to prevent California's Air Resources Board from adopting a rule that imposes a 10% cut by 2020 in the carbon content of fuels sold in the state. The groups say the rule violates the Constitution and places corn-based ethanol at a disadvantage. The agency declined to directly comment on the lawsuit but was confident that the rule is constitutional.
