Children who are hypersensitive may develop ritualistic tendencies, potentially leading to obsessive compulsive disorder later in life, researchers report in the Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry. The findings were based on two studies exploring the associations among sensory processing, rituals and OCD.
