Low gastroparesis rates are found in diabetes patients

Data on 587 diabetes patients showed that only 5% of those with type 1 diabetes and only 1% of those with type 2 diabetes developed gastroparesis over a 10-year follow-up. The results, published online in the American Journal of Gastroenterology, suggest that gastroparesis may be less common in diabetes patients than previously thought, researchers said.
