ICD-10, HIPAA 5010 to see increased attention next year

The new year will see more staff time, funding and external resources being redirected from other initiatives to the ICD-10 transition as the industry works to compensate for lost time, according to this article. Many health groups also will have to rework their ICD-10 plans and place a greater emphasis on efforts to comply with HIPAA 5010, this article notes. However, final rules addressing issues such as documentation have not been published.
