Jackson to leave EPA; debate over successor begins

Lisa Jackson has announced her intention to resign as chief of the Environmental Protection Agency. Deputy Administrator Robert Perciasepe is among possible successors, along with EPA air-pollution regulator Gina McCarthy, California Air Resources Board Chairwoman Mary Nichols and Kathleen McGinty, who formerly led the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
