Moscow court refuses to lift ban on Pride events

The highest court in Moscow has ignored a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights, refusing to lift a ban on LGBT Pride celebrations in the city. The Council of Europe Committee of Ministers is expected to meet in March to discuss Russia’s refusal to abide by the European Convention of Human Rights, to which it is a signatory.
