Netflix plans to add social features next year for its U.S. customers soon after President Barack Obama signs the Video Privacy Protection Act Amendments Act into law. That bill amends a 1988 law that prohibited companies from sharing consumers' video-rental history. Among the first features expected to be available are linked Facebook and Netflix accounts, as well as sharing via Netflix's Facebook application.
