Report finds varying gestational diabetes rates in the U.S.

Gestational diabetes rates vary across the U.S., with rates as low as 3.47 per 100 deliveries in Utah and as high as 7.15 per 100 deliveries in Rhode Island, a study published in Diabetes Care found. Race and obesity accounted for most of the variation, along with age and insurance status, researchers wrote.
