FINRA imposes fine on Barclays for electronic record-keeping violations

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority has fined Barclays $3.76 million for failing to properly preserve e-mail messages, instant messages and other electronic data from 2002 to April 2012. The regulator said the bank didn't use a format that prevents the deletion or alteration of data.
