NASA reveals intention to go asteroid hunting

Engineers for NASA have set about devising a plan to scoop an asteroid out of space, drag it into the Earth's orbit and send humans to study it for insight into the development of our solar system. NASA's newly announced Asteroid Robotic Retrieval Mission has already identified a "near earth object" -- NEO 2009BD -- as a potential candidate and is now considering its suitability for capture the next time it swings by Earth in 2022.
