NexEra develops options for concrete issue at Seabrook Station

NextEra Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission continue to work on a plan to manage concrete degradation caused by alkali-silica reaction at the Seabrook Station nuclear power plant in New Hampshire. NextEra, which is seeking a license extension to 2050, is "developing a comprehensive strategy, supported by ASR experts from around the world, for dealing with the issue, both in the long and short term," said company spokesman Alan Griffith.
