Guidant shareholders to vote Jan. 31 on J&J bid

The vote by Guidant Corp. shareholders on whether to acquiesce to Johnson & Johnson's $21.5 billion takeover bid has been put off another four days, until Jan. 31. A J&J spokesman said the vote was moved back to allow the shareholders adequate time to review proxy materials.
