Cahill takes helm as new Carnival Cruise CEO

Gerry Cahill has officially begun his tenure as president and CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines, succeeding Bob Dickinson, who retired after 35 years at the cruise operator. Cahill, who was previously CFO at parent company Carnival Corp., is a vocal advocate for travel agents. "Travel agents help us not to become a commodity. They help us paint the picture of what this vacation is like," he says.
