RBA keeps money market rates down by providing liquidity

Australia's central bank has done its part to lower money market rates by providing the financial system with plenty of liquidity. This week, the Reserve Bank of Australia increased the aggregate level of exchange settlement funds -- cash banks must hold on deposit with the central bank -- to about $6 billion.
