Survey: Few people know risk factors for hepatitis A, B

A survey by the Canadian Liver Foundation finds nearly half of Ontario residents asked about hepatitis A and B believed the diseases could only be contracted outside the country. Some 90% of those surveyed did not know what kinds of daily activities could put them at risk of contracting the disease. Health experts say people need to be aware that hepatitis can be transmitted via contaminated food or from a local spa.
