CityCenter opens in Las Vegas to great fanfare

The $8.5 billion CityCenter casino, hotel and resort in Las Vegas has finally opened its doors after surmounting obstacles that included lawsuits, cost overruns and a brush with bankruptcy. The 18 million square feet of new construction spans 67 acres and includes a 4,000-room resort-casino designed by the venerable Cesar Pelli.
