Employers seek palatable final health care reform bill

Several business leaders oppose the House health reform bill but have given cautious support to the Senate version and are lobbying for modifications. Still, many employers strongly oppose a provision in the Senate version that would tax a government subsidy on retiree drug benefits, which they claim would be a huge accounting headache. Congressional leaders will meet in January to try to put together a final bill.
