Market for consumer products to grow older, more ethnic

The consumer products marketplace will change significantly in coming decades as a result of the aging U.S. population. Nearly a third of households will be headed by someone age 65 or older by 2037, and aging baby boomers will represent an important and very different market from current older Americans. Meanwhile, the number of households with children will continue to decline and become more ethnic, as immigrants account for most of the future population growth.
