New reservoir to wring last drops from Colorado River

Crews are working around the clock on the $172 million Drop 2 Reservoir, a water-storage site 25 miles west of Yuma, Ariz., that when completed will help wrest the last few drops of water from the Colorado River before it flows south into Mexico. The water caught in the reservoir will be split among thirsty communities in Arizona, California and Nevada.
