Study: Chronic stress speeds mental decline in seniors with impairment

A three-year study showed that high levels of stress sped declines in mental function, particularly dementia and memory, among seniors with mild cognitive impairment. Stress did not affect mental function in seniors who did not already have mild impairment, researchers said.
