Texas airport plans expansion of general aviation area

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport in Tyler, Texas, upgraded several portions of the airport in the last decade, including adding a terminal building in August 2002 for $17 million. Tyler Pounds Field received "Airport of the Year" for all Texas airports in 2007. Davis Dickson, the director of airport and transit services for the airport, said the airport also plans to expand the general aviation area for additional space for private and commercial aircraft.
