Plastic surgeons appreciate editor's treatment

Journalist Joan Kron, who covers plastic surgery for Allure magazine, wants to develop some articles into documentaries and has herself had face-lifts as well as Botox and dermal filler injections. Kron "tries to make a point of respecting that the doctors are doctors," said Adeena Babbitt, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery's public relations director. "She has brought a perspective to plastic surgery when there is a lot of sensationalism," plastic surgeon and former American Society of Plastic Surgeons President Michael McGuire said.
