More D.C. students take AP exams

Washington, D.C., high schools this year slightly boosted their participation rate in Advanced Placement exams, a factor that in large part drives The Washington Post's Challenge Index ratings for area schools. The College Board has just started telling high schools that submit enrollment data what percentage of their graduating seniors scored at least a three on the five-point AP exams.
