Calif. coastal cities warned to slow condo-hotel development

California's Coastal Commission has sent a letter to the state's coastal cities warning them to consider other options before approving condo-hotels or time-share developments. The proliferation of the high-priced developments runs the risk of "eliminating affordability of overnight accommodations in the coastal zone," the commission said.
