Too many people causing problems on Galapagos Islands

A combination of natural beauty and unusual animals lures thousands of tourists to the Galapagos Islands each year. Those tourists spend money, which draws people from the mainland to the islands to serve the tourists. The increase in permanent residents and tourists is destroying the area, and local government officials and conservationists are scrambling to do something about it.
