N.J. mom becomes advocate for colon cancer screening

New Jersey mom and colon cancer patient Beth Peditto is using her experience to help convince others to take care of their health and have preventive screenings. The 46-year-old hairdresser ignored colon cancer symptoms for a year before being diagnosed with cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes. She even talked to her sons and was surprised when her 20-year-old, who had been ignoring symptoms as well, was found to have a precancerous polyp.
