Ohio joins other states in plea for money

Mayors and governors nationwide, hit hard by the falling tax revenues and rising expenses that come with a recession, are turning to the federal government for a financial lifeline. Ted Strickland, the governor of Ohio, which saw 100,000 jobs disappear this year, says the state needs $5 billion in federal help.
