Companies embrace voluntary emissions reporting

Although a company's emissions record might have once been seen as shameful or secret, the information has become a source of pride for some businesses that have undertaken voluntary emissions reduction plans. The Carbon Disclosure Project, a London-based nonprofit that tracks and reports emissions information, is helping companies reduce emissions even before governments enact mandatory reporting and reduction policies.
