The U.S. is on the ropes, but Americans shouldn't let their flaccid economy and lackluster leaders get them down, writes Joel Kotkin. In the long term, Kotkin argues, America's multicultural and entrepreneurial streaks -- along with our energy resources and military strength -- will keep the country ahead of its rivals. "If the U.S. stays true to its unique traditions, it will remain the world's best investment for decades to come," he adds.
