Educator: Recruiting male teachers should be a national priority

A 2008 National Education Association study showed the number of male teachers was at its lowest point in four decades. Strauss highlights the blog post of award-winning teacher Ronald Maggiano, who argues that the Obama administration should make the issue a priority. "Kids today, both boys and girls, deserve to have the same opportunity to learn from strong, dedicated men that I did," he writes.
