New Japanese teacher handbook causes tension with Korea

A new manual for Japanese high-school teachers is causing tension with South Korea because of its mention of a territorial dispute between the two countries -- an issue that was raised during an earlier revision of a handbook for junior-high teachers. The two countries dispute which has rights to Dokdo, and Japan should not attempt "to whitewash history," argue the writers of this editorial.
