A pen worth noting

Jim Marggraff has reinvented the lowly pen for the digital age. His Pulse Smartpens can record more than 400 hours of audio, translate foreign words and upload notes to social-networking sites ("pencasting," the company likes to call it). Although Marggraff won't reveal the company's financials, about 300,000 Pulse pens have been sold in 18 months -- at $150 to $200 a pop.
