Researchers remain split over coffee's health effects

Although there are studies that say coffee has some health benefits, others have linked the beverage to a higher risk of diabetes, heart problems, some cancer types and other diseases in certain people. Some researchers say the conflicting results might be attributed to the difference in the way observational studies and experimental trials are conducted.
