Storm runoff can keep gardens green

Rainwater runoff normally goes to waste -- but Arizona author Brad Lancaster is determined to use every drop. He worked with local officials to refashion the curbs near his property, diverting water runoff into his parched garden. "Our basic infrastructure, the storm-drain system, is designed to get rid of our most precious resource," Lancaster says. "We need to flip that around."
