In-theater ad industry to grow in 2010

While nearly all other media sectors saw ad revenues decline in 2009, cinema ad sales remained on par with last year and are expected to see an improvement in 2010. ZenithOptimedia forecasts a 4% bump to $2.27 billion globally in 2010. That growth is in part due to digital out-of-home networks, according to a report by Magna, allowing cinemas to "seek budgets which were otherwise allocated towards television advertising."
