Class-size limit could be lifted for Texas elementary schools

Texas lawmakers are considering eliminating a mandatory class-size limit of 22 students for the state's elementary schools in order to cut costs. However, teacher groups oppose the change, saying larger class sizes will harm education and could result in a reduction of about 12,000 teaching positions statewide.
