In this blog post, English teacher Larry Ferlazzo shares his education predictions for 2012, including what he thinks will be an increased interest in social-emotional learning. He also predicts that some newspapers will abandon the practice of printing teachers' ratings and that states will become more cautious about tying teachers' assessments to students' standardized test scores. He also predicts that more districts will favor Peer Assistance and Review, an evaluation and training strategy that he says treats teachers as professionals.
