Cheetah hadn't been a big star since the Tarzan movies of the 1930s, but fans remembered him and condolences poured in when the chimp died at 80 this week. These tributes and others to famous furry film stars show the enduring popularity of both classic films and animal actors, including Rin Tin Tin, Trigger and the dog that played Toto in "The Wizard of Oz."
