Calif. group helps moms learn English with their kids

Mother's Club Family Learning Center, a nonprofit based in Pasadena, Calif., provides language education spanning two generations. More than 100 mothers are enrolled in daily classes at the center with their preschool age children where they help one another learn English. The organization operates under the belief that mothers are a "child's first and most influential teacher," said Hector LaFarga, the center's executive director.
