Utah 6th-graders use news articles, puppets to share China's history

Sixth-graders at Wasatch and Hillcrest elementary schools in Ogden, Utah, recently shared what life was like in ancient China by writing newspaper articles about the Great Wall, terra-cotta warriors, tea and more. They also put on a live show using shadow puppets. Some students used Google Docs to work on their news stories while others learned about the Chinese tradition of shadow puppets to create their show. Teacher-librarian Amy Jamison said the students learned valuable skills ahead of going into junior high school.
