Georgia golf course built on landfill

The community of Sandy Springs developed 120 acres of the closed Morgan Falls landfill into an 18-hole golf course, the first such development in the state. The golf course is a win-win situation, as Fulton county was paying $250,000 per year to maintain the defunct landfill, and the community lacked the land to build the golf course residents wanted.
