Slim-Fast turns to Whoopi to entice New Year's dieters

Whoopi Goldberg, who reportedly started the Slim-Fast diet herself in November, will appear in ads beginning Thursday as the company takes on the difficult task of boosting declining sales amid competing low-carb or high-profile diet programs.
