Women looking to Prozac, Effexor to treat hot flashes

Research into alternatives women have when they stop taking hormone-replacement therapy for menopause because of the risks involved found that about a quarter of them turn to antidepressants to do the job. Even if the women are not suffering from depression, they claim some relief from drugs such as Prozac and Effexor, according to researchers at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
