Report: Can-Spam act didn't can spam

Research from Denver-based MX Logic to be released Jan. 3 maintains that one year after the implementation of the Can-Spam Act, 97% of commercial e-mail is in violation of many of the law's provisions and 77% of all e-mail traffic is spam. According to MX's Scott Chasin, "the real benefit of Can-Spam is to the service providers, giving them the ability to go after those who send spam."
