Boeing leads in orders in 2005

Boeing appears to have outsold its European rival Airbus in 2005, meaning it could be on its way of recapturing its place as the world's largest jetmaker. Boeing's sales were led by its new 787. The increased sales could affect Boeing's transformation. The company earlier this year sold three Midwestern plants to Onex Corp.
