Häagen-Dazs helps bees, creates buzz

Häagen-Dazs plans to continue its "Help the Honey Bees" social-marketing campaign in 2010, after getting good results this year, managers say. The campaign used Facebook applications and sponsored tweets to raise awareness and funding for honeybee research. "We want to tap into evangelists and people who are passionate about something," said Tonya Iles, the company's interactive manager. "Even if they're not passionate about our ice cream, they're passionate about the cause."
