Skin itchiness tied to mental distress

Japanese researchers say they have linked chronic skin discomfort with higher levels of psychological stress in adults. A study of more than 2,200 people found that those who suffered chronically itchy skin had higher average scores on a stress scale, and the more frequent and more severe the itching, the higher the scores.
