Taco Bell's fan promo borrows from Subway's playbook

Taco Bell is mimicking Subway's successful marketing campaign with an infomercial introducing a fan, Christine Dougherty, who says she lost 54 pounds by choosing lower-calorie offerings on Taco Bell's "Fresco" menu. KFC also is targeting the traditional January weight-loss trend with a "Penny Per Calorie" campaign.
