OIG 2012 plan includes Medicare opt-outs, off-label drugs

The HHS Office of Inspector General's work plan for 2012 includes studying the number of physicians who opt out of Medicare. The OIG also will study off-label drug use in Medicare and Medicaid and whether such prescribing adheres to standards for reimbursement.
