AA pilot board signs agreement regarding a US Airways merger

The board for the Allied Pilots Association, the union representing about 8,000 pilots for AMR's American Airlines, voted to sign a memorandum of understanding that would become the basis for labor negotiations in the case of a merger between AMR and US Airways. The vote passed 11-5 in favor of signing the memorandum.
